Section exhibiting the different heights through the Grand Portage, [Temiscouala Rd.] [7 1/2 x 22].
Shows with a fair amount of accuracy the "due north line" from the source of the St. Croix to the Metis River. In 1817 two parties of surveyors were instructed of commence operations in the N.E. Corner of Maine, and Bouchette heading one party made a reconnaissance while John Johnson, Chief Surveyor of the U.S. leaded the other party to conduct an accurate survey.
