This elegantly engraved world map carries the same title and quote from Cicero at the bottom as an earlier map by Ortelius.

General note:

Pictorial relief.
Four corners of border contain four medallions depicting the four continents : Europe, Asia, America & Africia.
Ilustrated with decorative border, ships, sea monsters and birds.
The following quote from Cicero appears along the bottom portion of the map: " Qvid ei potest videri magnum in rebus Humanis, cui aeter nitas omnis, totiusque mundi nota sit magnitudo".
