General note:

This map by Zatta is in fact a pirated copy of one of the sheets that made up John Mitchells "Map of The British and French dominions in North America". The map is apparently from Zatta's Le Colonie Unite dell America...Venezia, 1778 which was published both separately and as a special part of volume one of some editions of Zatta's: Atlante Novissimo... The map is an excellent depiction of that part of North America circa 1755. Most physical features are shown with mountains and hilly regions boldly emphasized. Many of the physical features and most of the populated places are named, however, in some cases the names have been translated into Italian.
