Documentary concerning the history of the Cowichan sweaters, of the women from the Cowichan First Nation who knit them, and of the economical development of this First Nation in general. Also discussed is the fabrication process of such a sweater and the means taken by these women, today, to be justly rewarded for their work. <51mn 57s>

The Hulqumi’num First Nations are a linguistic group of six First Nations, including the Cowichan. They are part of the larger Coast Salish linguistic group.
