The map shows Canada from Newfoundland to Lake Superior with major lakes, rivers, mountain chains and towns and villages shown. The inset shows the northern area centering on Hudson's and Baffin's Bay. The map was first published in 1794 in Carey's: American Atlas...In 1809 the map was again published in a reissue of the same atlas. In 1815 the atlas was re-published by Johnson and Warner under the title: A New Geographical, Historical and Commercial Grammar... It is probable that the 1812 state of the map appeared in this 1815 edition.
