General note:

While this map is a rather basic representation of Canada circa 1830 it is reasonably accurate. Major river and lake systems are shown as are most large cities and towns. The delineation of the western interior is quite well done and was probably based on maps by Arrowsmith. The map was probably done by William Schlieben and was included either in: Atlas von Amerika, 1830 or Atlas von Europa 1828-30. Both atlases were published by J.G. Goschen.
