The three components and two graphs all relate to telephone service in Alberta. The first map component gives the number of telephone calls per ten day business period between major urban centres in Alberta; the second gives the number of telephones per thousand population and the total number of telephones in each census division; the third map component gives annual number of telephone calls from Alberta to various continents and countries. The first graph compares the volume of tlelphone calls from Alberta to other areas of Canada, giving the percentage breakdown of the volume of calls to each area. The second graph shows the number of telephones supplied by the three major Alberta telephone company groups and the total volume of long distance telephone calls in Alberta from 1956 to 1965.
