The year [1924] has been supplied to this map for several reasons. In 1926 Ottawa designated the Edmonton airfield, created that same year, an official "Air Harbour" (See Note 1); this important landmark does not appear on the map. The Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, the line of which appears on the map as the Canadian National Railways, was amalgamated with the latter on 30 January 1923 (See Note 2). Therefore, within a year, the date 1924 seems to be the most appropriate.
