"The map shows the city of Quebec with an alphabetical legend describing buildings, fortifications and other points of interest. It appears in two Andrews atlases published c. 1792: A Collection of Plans of the Most Capital Cities of Every Empire..., pl. 40; and, Plans of the Principle Cities of the World... p. 40. The map was republished without the date, author's name or plate number in Isaac Weld's book Travels Through the States of North America, first published in 1799. The Collection has a copy of the map that appeared in Weld's book."
