This plan of Montreal appeared after page 504 in the October 1760 edition of: London Magazine. The map was followed by a text on page 543 and a legend on page 504. Indicated and identified on the plan are houses, fortifications, wharves and other features. Two different editions of this map are known and both are known to have appeared in the October 1760 issue of: London Magazine. There are noticeable typographical differences between the two engravings but the most noteable difference is in the attribution of source. In the edition referred to above it reads "Engraved for the London Magazine" whereas in the other edition it reads "Engrav'd for the London Mag. 1760".
