This map was published with an account of the siege of Quebec. The account was written shortly after the siege, apparently by a major in Wolfe's army, but was not published until the nineteenth century. The map does not appear to have been prepared by the major, but was added by the printer when the text was published. The map details positions of the British and French works and armies during the attack. The colour coding of the original has been added by hand to the photocopy held by the LAC. There is an index accompanying the map. The supplied date is the estimated date of publication and is derived from the fact that other maps by this publisher have approximately this date.
The original copy is in Major Moncrieffs: The Siege of Quebec 1759. F5065 P 53. Other editions of this include F5085 - B27 and 1-3760.
