Collection search - Plan and elevation of the Chateau St. Lewis, Quebec, 1768. J.W. Watts, Del. [architectural drawing]

This architectural plan of the Chateau St. Louis shows two floor plans, a front elevation, a side cross section, and a freehand sketch of the building. The plans are not detailed and there are no dimensions or descriptions. If the date is correct, the plan would show the building as it was after its restoration by the English in 1764. What appears to be a bar scale is found at the bottom of the plan, but there is no indication of what unit of measurement is involved; thus it is probable that this copy is a tracing of an original in which some details have been omitted.
