In the background is a real windmill - his family's home. He runs to get his father and show him the model. A tramp approaches the windmill to beg and the father violently refuses him and sends him on his way. In leaving, the tramp smashes the boy's windmill. The boy runs home to his parents, who console him. That evening the tramp watches the windmill from a distance, waiting for the sun to set. Asleep inside the mill, the boy dreams of his model. The tramp approaches the mill and sets it on fire. He flees as the family escapes from their burning home. From the distance the family watches helplessly as the windmill burns to the ground.Language:SilentNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
