The National Map Collection has a number of copies of this map with the same title. This is the earliest copy in the Public Archives of Canada and appears in: Information respecting the Eastern Townships of Lower Canada, in which the British American Land Company intend to commence operations for the sale and settlement of lands in the ensuing spring. (P.A.C. Library, pamphlet no. 1-1414.) This pamphlet is dated, London 1833. An area referred to on the map as the "St. Francis Territory of the British American Land Company" is shaded blue. Other areas in which the British American Land Company intend to commence operations are outlined in blue. There are a number of "tables of distance."
