The sub-sub-series consists of correspondence concerning events attended, and the material covers the years 1985, 1989 to 1998 and 2001 to 2005. The correspondence will often include background material sent with the original invitation, and as the files deal with events that Paul Martin did in fact attend they will sometimes contain detailed itineraries for the event(s) and additional background and briefing material prepared by Paul Martin's staff. In cases where files contain briefing books, the information has been included in parentheses as part of the file title.

Of particular interest, the sub-sub-series contains draft briefing books and additional background material concerning the G-7 Ministers Meetings held in Toronto, Ontario, in February 1995, as well as additional briefing material for the G-7 Summit held later that same year in June, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In addition, the last three files in the sub-sub-series contain material from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), specifically a briefing book for the 59th United Nations Session, miscellaneous correspondence regarding events attended in 2005, and a scenario-book prepared for the G-8 Summit in Gleneagles, Scotland, 6 to 8 July 2005. The material has been kept in this sub-sub-series to respect the original order in which it was received.
