This accession consists of files created and/or maintained by the Ottawa Liaison Office of the Western Economic Diversification Canada.
Included are general subject files pertaining to federal committees on the Canada Jobs Fund and Transitional Jobs Fund; program evaluations of CFB base closures in Manitoba; and files relating to key strategic technology sector of sub-atomic physics and the KAON Factory.
This accession also includes general subject files related to the Whiteshell Task Force to expand the economic development of Whiteshell, Manitoba through the establishment of new companies, creation of new jobs and commercialization locally produced technologies. The Task Force also resulted in the establishment of the Economic Development Authority of Whiteshell (EDAW) by the federal and provincial governments.
