The subseries contains files that relate to different phases of Cherney's monograph on Harry Somers published by the University of toronto Press in 1975, and presented to Somers on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday. These files include manuscript notes, chapter drafts, musical examples accompanying the text, bibliographies, previously-written articles on Somers, correspondence, editor's copy, final and annotated typescripts, a copy of the published book signed and dedicated by Harry Somers, and book reviews of the monograph.
