The sub-series comprises Hugh Graham's personal, political, and business correspondence. A file of notable correspondence was kept apparently for the significance of the correspondents, which includes letters from Robert L. Borden, Earl Grey, William Van Horne, Wilfrid Laurier, Arthur Meighen, Admiral J. A. Fisher, Lord Strathcona, George E. Foster, Louis Taschereau, and various members of Montreal's business elite. Several letters relate to the elections of 1911 and 1917 in which Graham's support of the Conservative party played an important role. Boer War era correspondence reveals his involvement in purchasing life insurance from the Ocean Accident and Guarantee Corporation for the men going to South Africa in the first Canadian contingent, and includes correspondence with Charles Tupper.

Other correspondence files pertain more generally to his newspaper and business interests, like the 1921 letter from editor C. F. Crandall describing the management problems of the Vancouver Daily World. There are also letters from J. W. McConnell, who purchased the Montreal Star from Graham in 1925, and business and salary negotiations with editor Albert R. Carman, 1917-1920. The letters of congratulations on his knighthood in 1908 and daughter's marriage in 1925 also show the wide range of his acquaintance.
