This sub-sub-series consists of sound recordings (produced by the Privy Council Office) of media information sessions given by senior government officials.

These media information sessions were usually held during the Prime Minister's visits, or visits to Canada by foreign dignitaries. They served to provide journalists with a detailed visit schedule, information on future or current negotiations, and information on Government of Canada objectives or the more specific objectives of the Prime Minister.

This sub-sub-series concerns the broad policies of the Government of Canada during the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien's mandate as Prime Minister. It also covers the highlights of major foreign trips by Prime Minister Chrétien, and visits to Canada by foreign dignitaries.

This sub-sub-series contains 300 audio cassettes and 1 optical disk, with a total duration of some 180 hours.
