This sub-sub-series contains various records compiled by Edward S. [Eddie] Goldenberg, Vice Chairman - Policy of Jean Chrétien's leadership campaign. It provides insight into the preparation of a leadership bid, and documents Jean Chrétien's positions on all campaign-related issues. A number of files also contain the notes of Eddie Goldenberg, offering a glimpse into the thoughts of a close and important advisor to Jean Chrétien. The correspondence files shed light on the way a portion of the Canadian public perceived Jean Chrétien (i.e. via letters of encouragement, the personal views of citizens on various topics in the news, etc.).

It consists of correspondence, speeches, letters of support from Canadian citizens, various Liberal Party membership and contact lists, press clippings, news releases, and a range of reference materials on campaign strategy and organization, policy issues and political support.
