Series consist of film and video recordings from the Privy Council Office.

The majority of videocassettes contain news conferences, speeches and interviews of Pierre Trudeau during his tenure as Prime Minister, as well as some recordings of Prime Ministers Joe Clark, Brian Mulroney and John Turner. Included are programs by CBC, CTV, Radio-Canada, TVA and Global, on such subjects as elections; political party conventions; visits to Canada by members of the Royal Family and world leaders; economic summits; and federal-provincial conferences on the constitution. There are also video recordings of public hearings, conferences, and panel discussions pertaining to the early 1990s constitutional reform process and the issue of Canadian unity.

Film reels contain the proceedings of the Constitutional Conference held in Ottawa in 1968.
