The donation consists of 651 photographs, including colour transparencies and slides, black and white and colour negatives, black and white and colour prints, and black and white and colour contact sheets.

The subject matter is Canadian musicians and instrument makers, including Ian McDougall, Gwen and Desmond Hoebig, Lorand Fenyves, Fraser Macpherson, Jonathan Crow, Robert Davidovici, Gary Karr, Oliver Gannon, Stephen Staryk, Jerry Toth, the Lafayette Quartet, and Jim Ham. The photographs were taken primarily in the early to late 1990s.
