This map became somewhat of a "mother" map because of its accuracy. Jansoon in 1641 copied it almost exactly. The N.M.C. holds 3 copies of this map. One is on page 193 of Vol. II of Blaeu's 1650 edition of: Le Theatre du Monde. Another copy is located in Vol. II of the 1645 edition of the atlas.

Date of situation set at 1640 based on State 2 information appearing in Burden's statement that "The left hand cherub now has a tail" and that the "longitudinal sequence lower right is incorrectly 298, 299, 200. The latitudinal marks on the right side are"white" next to the numerals."
