The current accession number is assigned to the wooden cabinet that once housed the maps, however, individual maps will be summarily described here on account of a common provenance. It must be noted that each map has its own accession number and is entered the National Map Collection.

The cabinet itself was designed to be wall mounted and could hold 8 maps rolled onto a spool.

The maps were all school-room maps published in London by George Philips durint the early 20th century.

Information about this accession is somewhat confusing.

It appears that seven maps were purchased from Mr. Cecil Wright in January 1983. Each map was accessioned separately and, for reasons not documented, the cabinet was also accessioned.
