This sub-series consists of plans of gunboats "Caustic" and "Axeman" built at Isle-aux-Noix in 1815 by [J. McGill], master shipwright, and a sketch which includes a profile and plan of a steamboat, dated 1825.

General note:

Negative copies of the drawings depicting AXEMAN and CAUSTIC, prepared by PAC in 1979, are also included.

Custodial history:

Items 1 & 2 were transferred from MG ll, CO Series 42, Vol. l72 (Q142-3), pp. 32(a) & (b) with notations from Q135 and Q136 respectively. Item 3 has a notation as being from Q178. (CO 42, Vol. 211).
