2 technical drawings : blackline prints 83 x 98 cm.Scope and content:Series consists of architectural drawings and sketches for renovations to the building occupied by the Toronto Free Theatre at 24 & 26 Berkeley Street, Toronto. The plans were prepared by Noel Hancock and J. Davis Simpson, Architects for a presentation to Heritage Canada for renovation funding. Tom Hendry co-founded the theatre company in 1971 and served there as a director.
Series also includes elevation views of what is believed to be the Adelaide Court Theatre performing arts development in Toronto. It is possible that these plans may if fact be speculative drawings of the Toronto Free Theatre and not the Adelaide Court Theatre.
Series contains 2 technical drawings by R.J. Thom Architects pertaining to stage construction for the Shaw Festival in Niagra-on-the-Lake, Ontario and 1 architectural planimetric view by Waisman, Ross & Associates relating to renovations of the Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Additional name(s):Additional information:Custodial history:Material was transferred from the Manuscript Division in three distinct accessions:
