This series consists of files related to the awards and honours received throughout Lewis Perinbam's professional life. It contains the files documenting six different Honorary Doctorates received by Lewis Perinbam and also the International Cooperation Year Medal, CUSO 25th Anniversary Award, the silver and gold medal of the Queen's Jubilee, the International Council for Adult Education Award, the Fellowship of the Manitoba Institute of Management (MIM), the Order of Canada (O.C.), the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation Humanitarian Award and the APEX Award. Lewis Perinbam was the second person to receive the APEX award created a year earlier in 1991. Furthermore, there are letters of invitations, newspaper clippings, lists of donors, addresses, letters of congratulations from colleagues and from important public figures such as the Honourable Alice Desjardins, the Right Honourable Pierre E. Trudeau, Ivan Head, Judge Melvin L. Rothman, Sonja Bata, R. Roy McMurtry, Lowell Murray, Herb Gray, Jean Charest, Jean Chrétien, Preston Manning, Herb Dhaliwal and Hedy Fry. In addition, there are tributes to Lewis Perinbam upon his retirement from CIDA, notes for speeches written by him for awards, dinners, diplomas, and certificates. The series contains 5 plaques: International Co-Operation Award, Technonet Award, APEX Leadership Award, Treasury Board and Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation Award. It also contains photographs, one digital videodisk and one sound recording.
