1 collage : essay, in four layers: first: watercolour in green and orange/red on tissue with purple matte with circular cut-out window with cut and paste yellow inner edge matte, matte inscribed with hand-painted title and typography; second: second: vellum paper with colour notations; third: vellum paper with positioning symbols and cut and paste caption and typography layout; fourth: purple paper background with cicular photographic reproduction of leaf structure framed by yellow circular cut and paste frame, all laid down to commercial board; miniature square colour photograph of same subject laid down to bottom of commercial board; 28.9 x 23.0 cm.

Conjecture that this is design number 4 of 5 is based on information found in the Post Office Department fonds.

Physical description note:

Multiple layers are hinged to commercial board support by masking tape at top edge of sheets; basic design on top sheet (10.0 x 18.0 cm) has circular design (80.0 mm diam.) in orange/red and green watercolour; sheets one and two have colour notations; this work may be number 4 of 5 designs, depicting a micrograph through a mature leaf showing veinlet xylem and phloem; description is based on information in the Post Office Department fonds; Typography layout: 6 cents.

Four miniature paper rectangles in blue, orange, green and yellow accompany the work;
