Attribution to Israel Charney is based on accompanying material and on information found in the Post Office Department fonds.

Physical description note:

Main design (10.0 x 18.0 cm) has image and title and typography painted on; glue residue on l.r. of matte (22.0 x 39.0 mm) indicates spot where black and white photo miniature was orginally attached; this is likely design number 3 of 5, depicting an enlargement of the lower surface of a leaf; description is based on information in the Post Office Department fonds; Typography layout : 6 cents.

Accompanying material note:

Partial Canada Post typeset label is found with design and inscribed in pen and blue ink [on the vertical]: I ChARNEY ; c.r.: 3/5 ; also found with the design is a black and white photo miniature (22.0 x 38.0 mm) of this design.
