Series consists of files of the study which led to the 1970 report, published by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), entitled, "Canadian universities and international development : a report prepared for the Canadian International Development Agency, by Norma Walmsley". Study was undertaken to determine resources available at universities for the support of programmes of international cooperation with developing countries. The report was prepared on behalf of AUCC, and was designed to identify the international projects and programmes at a university and the particular officers and faculty responsible for them. Walmsley examined international development-related activities in 46 universities, covering all 10 provinces.

Series contains correspondence, individual university reports of their programmes and involvement with developing countries, statistical printouts of foreign graduate and undergraduate students, and drafts of the final report.
