General note:

Karsh photographed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the Speaker's Chamber, moments after Churchill had given a speech to Canada's Parliament. This defiant portrayal of the wartime leader during Britain's "darkest hour" came to define the determination of the Allied war effort, and almost overnight became one of Karsh's most reproduced works.
