Various shots of: soldiers on bicycles; marching down a street; cavalry; hangar where airplanes are shown taking off; and artillery. Intertitle: The viaduct at Dannemarie, destroyed by the enemy during their retreat. Intertitle: After 44 years of German rule, Dannemarie, once more, sees today the French flag floating over the Town Hall. Intertitle: Soppes-le-haut, a commissariat base. Intertitle: The cathedral square at Thann. Intertitle: Final preparations for sending up a captive balloon. Intertitle: By means of a telephone, the observer communicates his observations to the general staff. Intertitle: Before the enemy's artillery has had time to get the range, the French shift their balloon to a place of safety. <8mn 40s>
