TRAILER PARK BOYS is an edgy, street-level Canadian television comedy/drama series shot in a faux-documentary style. It centres around Ricky, Julian and Bubbles, three adults with boys' minds whose lives were shaped by their experiences growing up in the Sunnyvale Trailer Park: stealing, fighting, smoking, scamming, getting drunk and listening to Van Halen. They had their share of trouble with the law and most of their adult lives have been spent behind bars of one kind or another. It is not that the boys cannot differentiate right from wrong, it is just that right rarely presents itself. In this episode, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are preoccupied with heating up the hash, laying it down and rolling it out to make a "driveway" in front of Ray's trailer. Ricky is concerned that they will get caught and Ray will get arrested. Julian has a brilliant explanation to quench Rick's worries - Ray only leases the lot, so he could always tell the police that he knew nothing about the hash. Randy and Lahey realize that the boys have been using their paving equipment, but they cannot figure out for what reason. While the boys were imprisoned, Ray paid off his trailer with money he made from gambling on video lottery terminals and is proud that he finally owns his own home. His luck, however, has not been that good lately: not only does he owe J-Roc money for groceries, but Julian is convinced that Ray stole sixty dollars from him while he was sleeping on Ray's sofa. Ricky wants to cheer up his father by organizing a BBQ for his family - he hopes that this will create an opportunity for him to get closer to Lucy. Hardly an easy task considering the fact that Ricky does not have a barbecue, or any food for that matter. J-Roc agrees to give Ricky some food and to find him a barbecue in exchange for some of the equipment Ricky stole from him in the previous episode. J-Roc keeps his word - he scores a fine barbecue for Ricky. Julian agrees to take Ray, Bubbles, Cory and Trevor to a strip club so that Ricky can spend some time alone with Lucy. When they return to the park, they are greeted by police cars and fire trucks. Ray's trailer burned down because of a grease fire. <23mn 5s>
