Description:

TIPI TALES uses songs and short vignettes to teach the seven sacred laws of Aboriginal spiritual beliefs that make the spirit strong. Through puppetry the series depicts the lives of cousins Sam, Junior, Russell and Elizabeth as they learn the tools of life from the forest, forest animals and their great-grandparents. The forest animals that the cousins encounter embody the seven ancient aboriginal laws: Eagle embodies love; Buffalo embodies respect; Bear embodies courage; Sabe (Bigfoot) embodies honesty; Beaver embodies wisdom; Wolf embodies humility; and Turtle embodies truth. In RUNNER BOY, Russell wants to give up his dream of racing because Junior ridicules him when Russell keeps falling down. Eagle shows Junior how to be more loving and teaches Russell never to give up and to keep trying, even when the trips and falls happen. <14mn 20s>
