Description:

TIPI TALES uses songs and short vignettes to teach the seven sacred laws of Aboriginal spiritual beliefs that make the spirit strong. Through puppetry the series depicts the lives of cousins Sam, Junior, Russell and Elizabeth as they learn the tools of life from the forest, forest animals and their great-grandparents. The forest animals that the cousins encounter embody the seven ancient aboriginal laws: Eagle embodies love; Buffalo embodies respect; Bear embodies courage; Sabe (Bigfoot) embodies honesty; Beaver embodies wisdom; Wolf embodies humility; and Turtle embodies truth. In CHOCOLATE SNATCHER, Sam cannot resist eating the box of delicious chocolates that great-grandfather bought for great-grandmother. She does not want to admit her misdeed and puts the blame on her great-grandfather by telling Elizabeth that he ate the chocolates. Bear helps Elizabeth forgive Sam and Sabe helps Sam face her misdeed. <14mn 20s>
