Description:

TIPI TALES uses songs and short vignettes to teach the seven sacred laws of Aboriginal spiritual beliefs that make the spirit strong. Through puppetry the series depicts the lives of cousins Sam, Junior, Russell and Elizabeth as they learn the tools of life from the forest, forest animals and their great-grandparents. The forest animals that the cousins encounter embody the seven ancient aboriginal laws: Eagle embodies love; Buffalo embodies respect; Bear embodies courage; Sabe (Bigfoot) embodies honesty; Beaver embodies wisdom; Wolf embodies humility; and Turtle embodies truth. In POW WOW, Junior tells Sam and Russell they are horrid dancers. When the two don't want to dance with him any more, Junior cannot understand why. Buffalo helps Junior understand that dancing is a gift for the creator, and there is no wrong or right way to do it. <14mn 20s>
