Attributions and conjectures:

Attribution based on documents from the Post Office Department fonds: a letter from Rapid Grip and Batten Limited to the Canada Post Office dated April 7, 1965, states that Miss Dumford [sic] will be the only artist working on the design; also a letter of thanks from Canada Post; and an invoice for the work in her name.

Physical description note:

Watercolour design of a pink flower with green leaves (16.7 x 10.8 cm) ; Typography caption in pink watercolour ; Typography layout: 5 cents. Miniature watercolour stamp in purple and green (34.0 x 21.0 mm).

Note on the state of conservation:

Miniature watercolour stamp has become detachef from envelope ;
