Series consists of correspondence concerning: editing and publication of their work; teaching, literary jury work, writer-in-residence positions, class visits, interviews, conferences, festivals, anthologies, prizes and awards, grant funding, copyright and public lending right, invitations to literary and artistic events, as well as related notes. Includes correspondence with publishers concerning the final editing and production of works with attached proofs as well as editing concerning reviewing and editing (including Roo's positions as poetry editor for Descant and Canadian Author). Includes correspondence between Kim and Tony Signal on physics and poetry.
The submissions made by the poets are often to the same magazines perhaps indicating work from a common address list for journals. Also includes email received and sent by both poets while at Adelaide and through the York University server.

Series contains several subseries and different arrangements made by the fonds creators at different times. Early professional correspondence appears in mixed files/boxes, later Roo reorganized her documents into alphabetical files and kept permissions together, while Kim did not. Subseries 2.1: Professional Correspondence Kim and Subseries 2.2: Professional Correspondence Roo indicate files kept by the each poet respectively, therefore, in certain of Roo's files (particularly in 2.2.5) there is correspondence directed to Kim or to both poets.
