YOUNG PEOPLE FUCKING is a comedy feature by a first-time feature film director-writer, Martin Gero. The story concerns five young couples all attempting to have sex and all running into a never-ending series of problems. The plot is divided into six chapters, each referring to a chronologically successive phase in a "regular" sexual encounter between two (or more) people: i) Prelude; ii) Foreplay; iii) Sex; iv) Interlude; v) Orgasm; and vi) Afterglow. The protagonists, whose lives do not intertwine narratively in any way, are all connected by the common theme of sex. The partners in these sexual encounters are identified by generic categories that correspond to their particular type of socially-defined relationships: The Couple, The Friends, The Ex's, The First Date and The Roommates. The characters' are all at different points in their lives and, not surprisingly, their sexual episodes, even though connected by the common sequentially progressive narrative thread, are not the same: some are traditional, some subversively kinky, some engage in fetishistic scopophilia, some in gender-defying role plays, some are nice and gentle, some are rough and dirty, some are nostalgic, some deceptive... <1h 30mn 27s>
