This series mostly consists of documents created during Roméo LeBlanc's career as a journalist with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) from 1959 to 1967. A few records date prior to his official work for CBC when he worked there as a freelance journalist while at the New Brunswick Teachers' College (1956-1957). Most files reflect Roméo LeBlanc's work as a producer of French programs in Ottawa (June 1959- August 1961) and as a CBC foreign correspondent in London (England, May 1962-December 1965) and in Washington (December 1965-June 1968). During his stay in London, Roméo LeBlanc's actual work went far beyond the European borders. He covered the most important events in Europe and also the Middle East and played an active role informing the European public about the political situation in Canada. Roméo LeBlanc covered the political conventions of the Republican and Democratic parties in June-August 1960 and the visit of the U.S.A. President Lyndon Johnson to South Asia in 1966. There is also a file which reflects Roméo LeBlanc's work as a President of the Association of CBC foreign correspondents.

Textual records in the series contain the following types of documents: Radio and TV scripts written by Roméo LeBlanc; documents submitted by him to the CBC office (records, expense sheets, bills); documents received and/or obtained from various sources and used in the production of Radio and TV programs. They include, but are not limited to, memoranda, newsletters, press releases. The correspondence consists of letters between Roméo LeBlanc and the CBC officials concerning his transfers from different locations, travel arrangements, salary adjustments, staff hiring, tax payments, etc. There are numerous handwritten notes related to the preparation of Radio and TV programs.
