The Personal writing series consists of manuscripts and memoirs. It Includes a copy of a book prepared by Lady Michener entitled Anecdotes. This book, a private edition, contains anecdotes written by former staff members at Rideau Hall including two texts written by Helen Webster. There is also a manuscript entitled Here and There-Anecdotes, in which Helen Webster reveals anecdotes about her personal life as well as her reflections. There is also the first draft of her memoirs entitled Montage d'une vie, manuscript and typescript, including a description of her parents journey, her life in Greece, in England and as lady-in-waiting. This Series includes many drafts of a book entitled Regard dans une cage dorée-Rideau Hall (1967-1970) relating to her life at Rideau Hall as lady-in-waiting. These manuscripts give a personal point of view of the Governor General's house and social life during the 1960's.
