[Original caption] Canadian Economy is enriched yearly by a wealth of furs - contribution of the little-known, poorly-mapped, sparsely-populated North. Moosonee, Northern Ontario steel terminus at the mouth of Moose River on James Bay, is typical of fur gathering centres in direct touch with civilization. The natives, Cree Indians, attend church regularly. These children are leaving the tiny Anglican Church after a morning service conducted by Archeacon Henry G. Cook, who makes the three mile trip from Moose Factory Island every Sunday.
