This series contains photographs (prints, slides and negatives), videos and audio cassettes. The series can be split into three parts by type of media.

The photographs in black and white and colour cover the period from 1941-1998 of Roméo LeBlanc's life. The photos begin in 1941 with his study years in New Brunswick and Paris. They continue to cover his journalist years with Radio-Canada/CBC; then the period as secretary to Lester B. Pearson and Pierre Elliott Trudeau; next during the years as Member of Parliament for Westmorland-Kent, N.B in the House of Commons; his terms as Ministers' of Fisheries, Fisheries and Environment, Public Works Canada and C.M.H.C.; his period in the Senate and finally the years as Governor General. Highlights during these time periods include: the ICNAF signing ceremonies between Canada and the Soviets; many vessel christenings, ribbon cutting ceremonies, and building opening ceremonies both during the period of Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and Public Works Canada; and the visit made by Nelson Mandela and his wife to Canada while Roméo LeBlanc was Governor General in September 1998. There are some photographs showing Roméo LeBlanc with important individuals such as Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Lester B. Pearson, Jean Chrétien, Marc Lalonde, Ted Kennedy, Fidel Castro, the Queen Elizabeth II and Nelson Mandela. Also, there are some photographs of Roméo LeBlanc's family, his two children Dominic and Geneviève and his first and second wives, Joslyn Carter and Diane Fowler, the extended family and friends over the years.

The videos and cassettes cover mainly the period when Roméo LeBlanc was a Member of Parliament for Westmorland-Kent, N.B. and the Minister of Fisheries and Environment / Minister of Fisheries and Oceans. There are interviews, meetings, press conferences, and speeches with or made by Roméo LeBlanc. The videos include excerpts of Roméo LeBlanc making announcements in the Senate as Speaker; televised debates such as the CBC Special, "Decision '82"; his speech at the Empire Club of Canada; a televised debate with the New Brunswick Political Leaders and other televised interviews with fishermen associations and various political figures. A large part of the audio cassettes cover Romeo LeBlanc's regular participation on the CBC radio program, "Talkback" from New Brunswick. There are interviews, press conferences, and excerpts from speeches at various political events. Some of the interviews were with the "Pêcheurs St. Thomas"; at Shédiac, N.B. There is a speech to the New Brunswick Chamber of Commerce.
