Folio 11 recto: Inscribed, in ink, top: Limodorum tuberosum. Cymbidium pulebellum. / This plant has been partially described by Linnaeus and Persoon, / under the above names. Nova Scotia has three species, all of which / have three rows of bristle like appendages on the lip of the flower. / The distinguishing marks of the three varieties are as follows: No. 1 A / bulbous root and a single flower. No. 2 A bulbous root, and from three / to seven flowers. No. 3 _ A fibrous creeping root, and a single flower. / They all grow in Moss bogs; and when viewed through a Microscope, appear remarkably brilliant.
