Files consist of documents relating to the first plays which Rae Davis directed, beginning at the University of Windsor in 1958. Productions include "Endgame" (1964), "Ecce or Greece seen through a natural environment telescope" (1966), "The Chairs" (1968 and 1970), "Pink Melon Joy. Gertrude Stein Out Loud" (1973). Early theatre files include various play ideas written by Davis such as "Simple Activities" (1963), "Daily news from the whole world" (1965) and "Frieze" (1966). Contained in the files are staging ideas, manuscripts and typescripts, schedules, notes on actors, correspondence with different venues, and ideas on plotting, lighting, cadence, movements and delivery.
