Prime Minister Chrétien travelled frequently within Canada, for a wide range of reasons. These included: meetings with constituents and participation in riding events; Liberal Party of Canada activities (conventions, national caucuses, funding activities, etc.); representation activities (fundraising dinners, inaugurations, Saint-Jean Baptiste, etc.); international meetings held in Canada (Commonwealth Games, G-7 Summit, Francophone Summit, etc.); Quebec referendum-related activities; and commemorative activities.
