This sub-series contains documents concerning a number of Cabinet Committees and Sub-Committees on which Romeo LeBlanc served as a member and/or chair and cover mainly the period from 1974-1984. Most of the files deal with projects and programs that fall under the jurisdiction of the Cabinet Committee on Communications, the Communication Sub-Committee, and the Information Sub-Committee, on which Romeo LeBlanc served as chair. Also prominent are files on the Cabinet Committees on Economic Regional Development, Priorities and Planning, Government Operations, Social Development and Political Planning. There are also a number of files dealing with various task forces such as the Task Forces on Canadian Unity, the Atlantic Coast Fisheries, Federal-Provincial Fiscal Arrangements, and Child Care Arrangements. Some files within the sub-series also deal with a variety of subjects including medicare, defence policy, fisheries restructuring, labour relations, pension reform, emergency planning, senate reform, infrastructure, canadian unity, the Meech Lake accord and constitutional negociations, bilingualism, and the Indian Act.

The sub-series consists largely of correspondence between various cabinet committee members. There are also a few handwritten notes written by various committee members and other government officials. Most of the files contain discussion papers, correspondence documents, memorandum's to Cabinet, and Cabinet reports dealing with various committee projects. Some of the files also contain press releases, newspaper clippings, cartographic material and sime photographs.
