Neison, Adrian : Adrian Neison is said to have been an English remittance man who came to Manitoba in 1875. He lived in Selkirk, Manitoba, and did survey work for a railway line to Churchill, Manitoba in 1884.

He also published a book on engineering.

Custodial history:

This work was one of three in the possession of Marius Barbeau in November 1941, as mentioned in Dr. Kenny's notebook. The note indicated that the work was one of three left for him by Mr. Connors of Ottawa on behalf of an owenr or dealer in Toronto. The other two works were of Cree Indian encampments, one in winter and one in summer, dated 1875 and 1876, and also signed "Neison".
