This collection contains early colour slides (35mm) which where used to document the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), as well as street decorations for the visit of King George VI to Toronto in 1939.

Also included in this collection are 7 photographs depicting employees of the Toronto Water Works department, between the years 1908-1932. These photographs depict the workers in their work environment, often times underground. Although they may be considered formal portraits, machinery and structural supports are visible in the surroundings, as these were taken in situ.
