Item is Volume One of a fire insurance plan for Winnipeg Manitoba. Item includes four unnumbered sheets: The Title page which includes and Index to block numbers; an Index to streets; a Key Plan [scale 1:6 000]; and an Index to specials. Sheets are numbered 1-77 and sheets 8-11 are also in outline format.

On the verso of the front cover are three labels. Label 1 indicates the plan is the "The property of the London Assurance Corporation. To be used for their business only." Label 2 is a "Memoranda" and gives the user instructions on how to revise the plan using pencil. Label 3 is titled "Handling Tags" and gives instructions on how to use the leather tags to move between the sheets.

A letter from the London Assurance Corporation is stapled onto sheet 42 (March 25, 1916) describing the approximate values of three locations.

Edition note:

The plan was originally surveyed on in August 1906. The plan was revised in September 1908, December 1910 and May 1914 (indicated by a revision stickers). Revisions were pasted on and sheets 3, 5, 6, 42, 50 and 54 are dated 1914.
